Bluetooth connection and range issues
I've recently noticed that my bluetooth is acting up. It has hardly any range. In order to make a call without crackling audio it has to be sitting near the cup holder. If I move the phone farther away or set it on my lap the sound will start crackling or the bluetooth will disconnect.
I'm currently using a galaxy s3. Any ideas? Thanks |

Try removing the pairing from the car and phone. Then leave the car turned off for 5-10 minutes and re-pair them.
Same thing happens with my wife's BB. A couple times per year. |

Is there a bluetooth antenna that is faulty? Its definitely something to do with the range. While in a call, I can move the phone close and away from the cup holder area and the sound will crackle then go clear. Any other ideas? |

Status update..
I found out the wire to the blue tooth antenna under the gear shifter in the center console came unplugged when I was taking apart my console to fix a rattle. That was a relief |
