IPhone 5 and the X5
Anyone figure out how the new IPhone 5 will interface with the X5?
What will we be able to see on the Nav screen? My new 5 will be in my hands by the 21st of September. |

It works perfectly fine and the BMW Office will now work since BT MAP has been enabled.

So unless BMW produce a special cradle to convert the digital to analog you will loose the iPod connectivity look in the idrive, audio over bluetoorh will be fine.

For folks with the MULF older style iPhone/USB interface, using the 30pin to lightening adapter will work fine as analog audio out is supported. So music playback will work fine. For folks with the newer combox iPhone/USB interface using the supplied lightening to USB cable will work fine. So iPhone music playback and apps will all work fine. What isn't supported anymore is iPod out, but that used the cradle anyway ... Unless you did a 3rd party install .... So the cradle naturally wont work until BMW upgrade it. |

It's all nonsense. iPod out, which is basically worthless and video playback isn't supported with 5 until the new cradle arrives. Everything else as before. 09-10 owners ... Buy the 30pin to lightening Adapter. |
