DIY for sure. Very easy. Are you local (Atlanta)? If so, I will do the install for free.

Couple of questions:
- Isn't it supposed to have the lower selector arm, the fork, etc.?
- Does it come with a new cup? (Cannot tell from the picture)

You mean the selector rod? You can use this with the factory single-shear rod. UUC sells the optional double-shear selector rod separately for around $100. It is supposed to eliminate the slop due to the factory SSSR. On my 335i, it didn't do much to be honest.

It comes with everything you need for install. The UUC has a effort-reducing carrier (the metal piece) that bolts on to the factory carrier. The plastic cup of the OEM shifter is no longer used. Instead, there is a nylon cup that fits into the effort-reducing carrier and the shifter ball sits on that.

If you compare the factory shifter to the UUC, you will note that the former has a lot of plastic parts. The UUC is all metal.

Lots of info here: http://www.nexternal.com/shared/Stor...t=products.asp

Really easy job. Most time-consuming part is tightening those little hex bolts. Thanks for the interest though!

Hrmm, not wanting to interrupt a sale, but if no one who has posted takes it, let me know.

I assume you have it on your 335i? I may need to check it out.

I may be over near Lawrenceville as well as downtown later this week.

Yes, I have the 335i version installed in my car as well as the DSSR. This is the M3 version. Bought it for someone but he doesn't want it anymore.

I'll be in midtown all week.

Looking forward to seeing your car!

Once I set my schedule next week, I will give you a call and coordinate a time. I really want to see what it feels like on the 335i first though. I have been on the fence with this for a while as the stock shifter feels fine. But if it can be better, and I can get a sample, all the better.

Even if I do not head that way to see customers early in the week, I will be at the WCC to get my packet for the Half Marathon on Sunday. I was signed up for the full but a MTB incident in the winter had me sidelined for a while. But that half should be plenty as my old knees are showing wear.

Sounds good. You're welcome to take the car for a spin and see how it feels in action.

Sorry to hear about the incident. My schedule is very flexible this week so we can definitely meet up at your convenience.

Great. I'll take you up on that offer and get a feel for the shifter in your car. I can leave my keys as collateral but then again, you know where my office is anyway...

But if you get a good offer in the mean time, please do not hesitate to move it. As mentioned, I am still on the fence and want to get a feel for it before purchasing.

Actually the opposite - the first SSK I see that doesn't require installation of an xpipe at the same time.

What I meant was, the Rogue comes with a new carrier arm (fork) and in order to replace that, you need to drop the exhaust. Many people use that as the perfect opportunity to install an xpipe.
