Congrats, I just picked up my truck over the weekend as well, similarly equiped but the diesel version.
Tischer BMW (getbmwparts.com) has the front grill and bumper guard but they are a little pricey. I was actually looking for front and rear as parking in the streets of Newark NJ (where I have to go for work a couple times a week) left my 335 with banged up bumpers. I haven't found an aftermarket company that makes them for the '11s yet. My plan is to buy them and have them powdercoated black. I'm not a huge fan of chrome |

I agree on the colour - I would also want one that is wider than the BMW E70 one - to protect a bit more of the bumper.

just to update u guys, i had my auto shop buddies check the guard, it seems that on the 11 x5 its not a good idea if u got parking sensors. it will fuck w it big time. also the 11 got a tighter body shape so they might have to add a hole or two. i was suggested to leave the front and put a rubber at the back.

Brush Guards
great thread...
I've got a 2009 X5 35d and recently bumped a deer. $1,500 later for the repair I'm seeking out some type of classy protection. I've seen chrome bull bars from Romnick but they only cover the mid-front of the front end. My deer strike was on the R-side below the driving light. Anyone know of any other products? Thanks |
