Who gives the best serivce in MD?
I keep hearing mixed reviews about the dealerships in MD. VOB is closest to me, but I've heard nothing but bad things about their service. Who gives the best service in MD? I need to know before my 1200 mile sevice.
Thanks, Chris |

Russell BMW in Balitmore. It is 30-45 min drive, but you won't regret it. I am in the same situation as you...I just moved here (Bethesda) and VOB is right up the street. There is also Passport BMW and BMW of Arlington nearby. Some of the guys in the mid-atlantic forum recommended Passport, but when I called them I must have got a bad SA, because he didn't know what he was talking about and he tried to charge me 450 dollars to have my US maps restored. Russell BMW is a BMW Collision Center, and they have a great service dept. Ask for Tom.
Now maybe some other guys can chime in...

I have taken my car to VOB and was not satisfied, however I've been hearing good things about passport bmw. A lot of the local m3 guys take their cars there, i am also considering doing the same for my next service.

I recommend Jack Barber at Tischer. I live in Bethesda as well and the drive to Tischer is worth the hassle. I forgot his name, but there is a tech who has a lot of experience troubleshooting E90/92/93 issues. Ask Jack and you'll be in good hands.

I am in Bethesda and take mine to Russell. I had one bad experience with a USB hub problem, but the guys are competent and the service staff is good. I'd recommend them. Talk to Tom Wolff and the senior tech is Steve.

My Passport experience was $hit.
For Dinan mods and track prep I go to At Speed in Hanover and work with Bob. The shop is fantastic and they have a deal with City Publication that gave me 20% off on labor. Great experience. |
