Rear wheel bearings!?

Afternoon,

Had a strange day in the car yesterday..

First off I was driving for around 15 minutes then went onto the motorway the steering wheel was slightly vibrating which has never happened before after 10 minutes or so on the motorway it then stopped so I thought nothing of it,

It was then when I was driving back on the motorway once again 15 minutes or so if driving before I went on it
I could hear a rattling from the drivers rear wheel with my window down this strange noise was also present when I was braking normally. After a few miles on the motorway the noise stopped totally and I could not replicate the noise again!
Normally I drive with my music on so I wouldn’t notice any noises

Could this be a wheel bearing as once’s it’s warm it’s quiet? Or perhaps stones or something trapped in the guards?

Any help/ideas would be great fully received!

Liam

Stone trapped - I had the same thing twice on a previous M4, my bro too on his M3. Just a freaky coincidence that you had it on the same day.

Would a stone cause vibration also?
Is it an easy fix
Do I need to stick my hand in and try to remove the stone/stones?

Thanks

Strange that's there's this post, I was recently involved in a accident where I smacked against a curb and I'm experiencing the same thing was doing some self diagnosing but when cold sound isn't present when warm I get this weird vibration from that rear wheel sounds like I'm driving on the shoulder on the interstate that kind of vibration as well as a light squeak when on the brakes

Yeah that is strange!
I’m going to have a play with those guards behind the wheels and see if any rocks or debris come from it, if not I’ll be going to the dealer

Mine just stopped, I'm guessing the stone fell out, however my bro had to get the dealer to sort his which they did in minutes.
