Headlight lens cracking
My right headlight lens is cracking and I searched the past posts and can't find anyone with this issue.I took my 2011 X5 in for a check over before my 4 year warranty expires and asked about the hairline cracks in the headlight lens. The dealer wasn't sure it would be covered under warranty so they took pictures and sent them into BMW. Has anyone had this issue and was it covered under warranty ??

Are you sure that those are cracks, or just dirt that has gotten between the bumper and headlight? Those lenses are pretty hard, I have never seen one crack like that

Yup they are cracks and are only on the right headlight. The dealer sent pics to BMW so i hope it's covered under warranty. The first few cracks were about two years ago and the others just started in the last six months.

Definitely should be under warranty, kinda looks like some glue is coming off or something. Like a bubble under a phones screen protector

I had my passenger side headlight assembly replaced under warranty for the same issue at BMW St. John's about 8 months ago. Odd that this seems to be a problem on only the right side headlight.

No one makes the LED lenses as far as i know. Shame as im sure many members can use them around the world.
