Replacing xenon with LEDs
Is it possible to replace xenon with LEDs? I ordered my M4 with xenons fully expecting that there would be an LED option, and it seems that 4 series concept lights will make to M4 LCI sooner or later.

There IS a factory option for LED headlights. A retrofit would require the addition of the camera that the LED option requires. I am guessing that it would be cheaper to sell your car and purchase one with the factory option LED headlights. |

I am talking about the F30 LCI which seems to be running 4 concept lights which are so much better than the current gen on F80/F82/F30. I just wanted to know if swapping out xenons with LEDs can be done.

Simply put - absolutely not, no way to retrofit.

Considering that LED package costs 19xx, even if it cost 1xxx more to get the new LCI tails and headlights, i think it is a win. Never was a fan of the tail-lights and shape. Had I known that 2016 model would have them, I would have waited.

As for LED cost, I personally though it wasn't worth it and went with xenons. I was already over budget the the car so sacrifices had to be made. |
