There's one worse on the X6 forums. Brand new X6M with red fast and furious ground lights, cf wrapped hood, roof and trunk and red vinyl decals. I want to take it all off for him.

Some better high quality pics still has nice reflection from clay and wax after rain, shows the quality of the stripes.
I think the truck still has an OEM look but stands out as special ... it's good to have some different customizations, I'm not a fan of anything that doesn't look OEM. Catless downpipes waiting to be installed now .... eventually will get the rest of the M-Performance parts which are the spoiler, steering wheel and wheels. |

Pics with the wrapping removed, I only left it on the reflectors and side marker.
... wrap started peeling and getting spots that wouldn't come off - bit disappointing considering it is the 3m 1080 stuff supposed to be good quality with few year lifespan. Won't have any other mods for a while other than catless DP's until I can justify the cost of the carbon fiber front spoiler, rear diffuser and m performance steering wheel. |

I think it looks better this way, and though I wouldn't do it, I don't mind the stickers on the side. Kinda makes it look like a pace car or something.
I think these stickers for the grill might help bring those colors around to the front a little http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRILLE-KIDNE...xUTen4&vxp=mtr |

Unless you installed the vinyl wrong and/or put wax on it, 3M is indeed a good product and has lasted on my car for quite a while.
Either way the X5 looks better with the vinyl. If you plan for a carbon lip, you're going to have to change your parking style |

I think we're on the right track again. Not a big fan of "modding for the sake of modding" and it looked like that is where you were going. Looks better with the only thing added being the M stickers. Cleaning the wheels is something we all have have to deal with. I suggest getting them coated and hopefully that will make washing them a bit easier.
But I agree. They need to be cleaned more often. I do mine twice a week. |

Powder coat them in Charcoal or black and the brake dust becomes less noticeable..

Do you have catless downpipes? Im interested in fabbing an exhaust similar to the supercup but noise level is a concern since i have the AR catless downpipes

This exhaust is loud as it is and I know running a straight pipe setup with catless downpipes will defiantly make it louder ... I personally can't wait to run this setup but noise level isn't much of a concern for me. |
