frankenm X5M
Back in May of 2015 I got to test drive a 2010 X5M for a good 300 miles and feel in love with the truck, since then I hunted down the perfect "mom" car for my wife to haul our little humans around in.
I purchased this 2012 X5M in September of last year with 64k miles on it and so far taking it for a road trip across the country and back, FL to Vegas to Cali, then cali back to florida. total miles were about 4k right now the odometer reads about 74k. Night we brought her home. Interior (Also a view of my M3 build) Front with M badge in grill ... I've since removed since it started rusting. Once i get the carbon fiber grill I ordered I'm going to re-add with some rust proofing on it. Rearend currently have a badge delete since the old one faded ... going to re-add the badge once I get the new X5 badge in. Right now the truck is 100% stock but soon that is going to change. Mods soon to be made. Fabspeed supercup exhaust with black-tips Carbon fiber front grills. Wrapping the mirrors, M badges and silver interior pieces in carbon fiber. I have to figure something out with the widebody pieces as well since they have tons of rock chips in them even though the truck is equipped with the factory paint protection. Once the suspension goes and I need new tires I am planning on getting some 21 or 22' wheels and dropping it with the K3 Coilover system. I absolutely love this truck. |

I'd say lose the M badge in the grill and replace the missing one in the back with a black one! BTW, don't forget to check in the X5M registry; http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1206468 |

Some updates here.
Installed LUX v3 Angel eyes, Carbon Fiber front grill. Also installed a Fabspeed supercup exhaust. I'm satisfied with the sound for now, i feel it is loud, aggressive and should make the truck stand out. The cabin noise isn't too bad when cruising, I feel its no louder than when driving on the stock exhaust in M mode. It is louder at 80+ MPH but not bad enough that I dislike it. At idle and normal driving it isn't much louder than M mode until you mash the pedal. Pic of exhaust as received. Video of cold start and revs. More to come once I get the rest of my equipment. |

Nice photo taking during last fill up.
Wrapped some of the exterior accents. Going to put the M-Performance stripes on soon and darken the window tint. |

Finally got around to installing the m striping ... quality of the material is top notch and the precision cut and fit to the truck is great, there is nothing like OEM quality.
I like the look of the stripes gives off the distinctive M look and adds individualism to the car at the same time. This photo is distorted as hell for whatever reason and the carbon fiber vinyl I wrapped the car with streaked after its first damn wax. |

No problem with honesty at all ... to each their own my friends ... I intend my to have my cars stand out and be different ... honestly don't expect everyone to like it.
Will look better with new rims ... attached image of my photoshop skills of planned design. |
