They arrive today and the steering wheel is supposed to come in on Wednesday. So hopefully this weekend. The pedals will be installed within the next couple days though.

Mod Update:
So the paddles and pedals showed up yesterday. The mperformance wheel isn't here yet so I went ahead and installed the pedals. BMWpedals are absolutely gorgeous in person and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend them. Can't wait to get the wheel and paddles installed next. Packaged well: Fresh out of the wrapper: The beginning: Brake pedal time: Template on. Make sure you line it up at the top right to ensure a good fit. Their template made this the easiest pedal install I have ever done. This would be my 4th pedal install. Installed: Gas pedal installed. No need for a template on this one, just make sure you line up the pedal how you want and drill slow. Dead pedal installed. Piece of cake since it's held on by 3m adhesive tape. The same tape used to hold reflectors in. Just make sure you get it right because you don't really have that many chances to apply it. You don't even remove the stock dead pedal you just put this over it. Final pics: |

They feel great. I much prefer metal pedals and have installed some sort on each of my cars. It just feels more solid and connected if that makes sense. What I like about these pedals is how BMWpedals do their rubber grips. There are no pads. Instead they are little rubber like circles on top of the pedals placed next to an actual hole one after the other. It really is quite clever as it allows a more solid connection between the pedals while still providing anti slip properties.

Thanks! Yes they install over the current pedals. The only oem part you remove is the rubber pad on the brake pedal. You can order them from their site if you don't want any custom coloring or you can just send Brian@bmwpedals.com an email. Let him know I told you to email him. |

Mod Update:
Installed the lux angel eyes and oem interior led kits last night. The install for both was easy enough. There are nice DIY's on the interwebs so as long as you take your time there is nothing to worry about. Concerning the oem led kits though, 2 sets are still not enough to get all the bulbs you need. You also end up with unused bulbs as well. I'm two flat led bulbs short, which is only available in another 10 pack. Going oem definietly hurts the wallet lol... In case anyone was wondering the e70 takes 7 circle led's and 10 flat led's. This count does not include the glove box or vanity lights. The vanity lights require festoons, which don't come in the kit, and the glove box is temperamental with its fuse so I didn't even bother. So right now I have 5 circle led's that are of no use. If I get a third pack I guess I'll have plenty of spares. Boxes: Led lights: What's up next: |
