New member going from 545i to X5.
Hello everyone. I am a new member to this forum and wanted to introduce myself and ask a question. I am considering trading my 545I for a X5 sport but can't find anything to tell me the differences between the premium and the sport. I am looking at the blue that xbimmerx5 just got but with black interior.

Welcome to the X5 forum.
The Sport over the Premium adds the following: 20" Wheel and tire package with stagger setup Sport Seats Thicker padded steering wheel Black Anthracite head liner Suspension is differnet. I live in NJ and with our winters lately I went with a Premium as it has the 19" wheel with all-season tires and opted for the Multi-Contour seats. I drove both of them and thought the suspension was nice and taunt on the Premium and the handling was great. The base seat was okay but now having the multi-contour seat I would not settle for anything less.

Frank, Thanks for that info. It will be a second car as I drive a Toyota Tacoma as my dailly driver. Will use it for ski trips so want something decent in the snow should I hit some weather. Love my 545I but I can't help but want to punch it every chance I get. The car just wants to go go go... Figured this was a bit more subdued and a bit more practical.

When you punch the peddle the X5 sure moves. Between the new motor and 8 speed trans it hauls ass!

In my opinion it hauls ass! When I took the demo for a ride I punched it and takes off like a bullet! After driving it I found that I didn't need the V8! Just my 2 cents!

Was at the dealer again today and it didn't go very well. Seems they are holding on the price. Going to let them stew and will email a final offer. They are sticking me on my trade as well.
