BMW X6 Carbon Fiber Update

Hi guys would like to share my recent modification to my X6. Just collected back from Robson Design in Singapore. Fitted it back in to my car look pretty good to me except the rear diffuser. It look too square IMO. May need to redo the whole thing, the four fins look great just that it is not router around on the edge and it look too square. Still waiting for the side skirt and side step to be carbon fiber laminated. So what do you guys think on those rear diffuser fins, too sharp, too big? It don't look really right to me.

Just got a call from Power Chip ECU remapping, they have a stage 2 now for X6 it will put my X6 a wopping 288KW (according to the manufacture) on the wheel. Will Dyno it to find it out. on the wheel. Have already book in next wednesday for that power chip stage 2.

Here are some photo of the finish products. Will take better photo after side skirt and side step fitted on.

Mods compliment your ride really well. But you are correct about the rear diffuser. Its a bit on the thick and square-ish side. And you might want to shorten the length....it looks too long. Short and subtle would look really nice.

Hi minime388, I had been watching your modification all the while. You are so lucky that you have the skill to build your carbon fiber modification. There is still plenty more for me to modify like the wheel arches you have done, but mine will be a little different from yours.

The side step that I am doing now is with Carbon Fiber and the rubber stud will still be showing along the side step. More CF for the Front and Rear lower bumper etc.

As for the rear diffuser fin I think I will change it again to this Russia Tuner.

One question I seen your Hamman wheel spacer, did you put it in your X6? If so can you post some picture of your car with the wheel spacer? Thanks.

Hi Audioquest,

Yes this Hamann spacer I made exactly like Hamann myself on my CNC machine as it was so difficult to get one. You know how long it takes to order it. So i just go ahead and put on my CNC machine to make 1 set just for myself.

Here is the original spacer. I made it a bit thicker for the back, I think total thickness is 20mm. Front is 15mm. I ordered special bolts from Germany for it.

It also depends on your tire offset and how wide you want your wheel shows out. Mine is just right at the lip, not showing out much but it looks pretty Ok, honestly I would like to have it out another 10mm but may need longer bolts.

CF Side Step and Side Skirt. Finally got it back from Singapore by Robson Design, the workmanship of the Carbon Fiber lamination is very good and it is a perfect fit for the side step and the side skirt. I am pretty impress by their workmanship. Have a look, what do you guys think?
