Soccer : Mexico 5 - USA 0 (Wow!)
Wow! ....U.S. just fell apart in the second half and within 15 minutes gave Mexico 3 goals.
A well deserved win for Mexico for playing smart and with lots of heart. Their front line was quite explosive. I have never seen anyone playing with so much room at the wings and make such gaping holes in opponent's defense. They made it happen. It wasn't given to them. Good luck to them in WC 2010 |

It's a shame that the U.S. lost this game. It would have been a great boost to both the reputation that U.S. has for soccer and would increase popularity of the sport in this country (anything that we are good at people are going to like). Did you see the audience? 90% were Mexicans, and where the Americans were seated, there were tons of empty seats. The kicker; the game was in NEW JERSEY, not Mexico. |

They aren't on par with Brazil, Italy or France but considering the lack of support for futbol here in the U.S. they are very, very good. They weren't even playing with their "A" team this game. |

Pardon my ignorance, never was much of a soccer fan. Based on the information above, it would be fair to assume that losing the way we did was tragic.
Similar to the Patriots losing to the giants? |

I heard it was the B team. Why?
There were one or two of those breaks thru the US defense that I might have been raising a flag as the AR. I didn't see the first period. |

First half was all U.S......then as usual they take a crap in the second half.
If it was the U.S. "A" team (i.e., Donovan, Dempsey, Howard) Mexico would have gotten OWNED. |

First of all that PK was a horrible call. The ref handed momentum to Mexico by giving them a goal that was not earned.
Second, the US B team looked ok in the first half, but you saw the inexperience and pressure overtake the young US team that was on the pitch in the second half after the PK. It was just too much for them. Third, I think with our strong players coming back for a game against Mexico in Mexico in August the US will pull the upset!!!
