AUX volume not moving up
I’ve got the base audio system, and an upgraded carplay head unit. the head unit plugs into the aux port but when I select the aux, the volume is at the bottom, and i can’t move it up. i’ve tried making sure the aux cord is plugged all the way in on the head unit and glove box side. i’ve got a fm transmitter in right now and it sounds terrible lol. any thoughts?

Did you have Aux volume control before?

Check the following to see if this helps:
HOME>Settings>Factory>Enter Pin>Vehicle: Aux Switching Mode: I have mine set to AUTOMATIC AUX Auto Switching: I have mine set to HARMAN (with a 13 E70) One reason Volume may not be available is because the signal coming in is not Analog...which would be an Android Monitor issue. Oh, this assumes the Aux In was working before installing the Android Monitor. If it wasn't working before, then that is a vehicle issue...hmm More info, see end of Page. 2: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/c...m-zero.961683/

Sounds like you have a bad aux port. But I think even without anything plugged in you should still be able to adjust the volume in the settings. Should be set right in the middle

Actually, I'm assuming your "upgraded carplay head unit" is an Android Monitor with carplay. If so, go to the SETTINGS in your Android Monitor. Did you install it yourself?
I agree with @RL18, I would definetly get a new one just in case, cheap on ebay. But pg.2 of that thread I linked showed how to reactivate the Aux In with bimmercode...if not the bad port or settings in the monitor.
