212,000 Miles & A Tune
How stupid am I that I want to tune my 212,000 miles N55 E70. The engine runs like a dream, no problems. I rarely ever floor it I just want some more low end torque to get the car moving. Do you think it will grenade it's self?

To answer your question: Pretty Stupid.
No need to accelerate the approaching inevitable.... unless you're looking for an excuse to get another ride, at which point 'go for it'!

Depends on how aggressive the tune is, and of course how well the car has been maintained. If you have really good maintenance schedule and always repair things as soon as they need it, you'd be fine with a mild tune.

That was my thought. I just bought the car as a daily driver (I have a M4 for my fun car) The car was a one owner car and maintained meticulously with 36 service records all done at the BMW Dealership.
