Cadillac Truth + Dare driving event

So I attended Cadillac's multi-city driving event and came away fairly impressed. I honestly think BMW should probably do something more like this, rather than their yearly Ultimate Drive event; UDE is fun, but if you don't know BMWs, it's not very informative. Cadi had product specialists on hand and courses set up to really show off their cars and the technology they offer so you learn a lot about them.

On top of tech demonstrations (night vision, self-parking, auto-braking), you get a quick autocross session, a hard 0-60-0 run in the ATS-v, and get to go on a lenghty street ride in your choice of anything on site, other than v series cars. My fav was the 0-60-0 in the V; not just driving it but also watching this elderly couple about 75 or so charging down the straight in it.

I probably won't buy one, and most of you here probably won't either, but not a bad way to waste a few hours.

I would definitely be interested if they came to a city somewhat close to me. Once it involves an overnight stay and long drive the overall price and hassle get to be too much for a short event.

By any chance, did you attend the event in Houston? I noticed a few other BMW enthusiasts...

Nah, I went to the one near Dallas. I made a point to check the parking lot (there was only one designated lot for us) and there wasnt a single BMW there during my session.

Ah never mind, Here in Houston I noticed a few M3s in the lot and curious if you were one of them.

Speaking to the event, it was pretty neat and well organized. It would be fun if BMW hosted similar events like those. My favorite was probably the 0-60 runs, street drives, and autox.

I thought the same thing, I wish BMW would have these kinds of events, to show what tech they offer and how their cars are capable of performing, especially since people are so down on them these days. I loved doing the 0-60-0 run too. The ats-v doesn't sound that great but that thing pulls and stops pretty hard.

I wonder what the actual cost is per person to Cadillac, maybe companies just don't see the value.

Only if you never get to autocross..lol. They set you up in the ATS coupe, sedan and CTS, all with the turbo 4, and no sport pack; it's a little fun but not exactly thrilling. You get to go in each car several times, if time permits.
