Nice to see official confirmation of the twin turbo V8. Sexy car, er SAC, for sure.
Not so pleased with the long name X6 xDrive50i feels like too many letters for a BMW model name. But that is just being picky. No doubt this will compete with the RRS, but will cost (guessing) 10-15K more. |

I think the look will grow on me, it looks like a 335 mated with a x3

Damn the shape is ugly. Thats no BMW for real?
Why did they have to make 4wd in the first place. This strange looking car can never compete with the Toureq or Landrover. |

It's not meant to compete with the Touareg or the LR2 (if that's the car you're referring to), that's the X5's job. The X6 is meant to steal buyers away from the such cars as the Cayenne. These buyers are looking for an even sportier SUV, they put performance before versatility and practicality (hence the lack of a fifth seat and the sloped roof) but still want the seating position, ride height and visibility of an SUV. And for what it's worth I think the car is gorgeous. I'm really gonna miss that panoramic roof. |

2 questions, 1 comment
1) When is this thing going to hit U.S. dealerships 2) What will be the base model's MSRP (I know I'll need to add another 10k for a fully loaded one) ...after showing this to my wife...it looks like I'll have to start selling my major organs on the black marker... she's in love with this thing and wants it to be her next car.... Xbimmerss.com I hate you

I don't know how you build your cars, but with premium/sport/tech packs on the X5 as well as comfort access and ipod, the options came out to about 14k... expect the same pricing for the X6 |

I dont consider myself ghetto but I can see a set of 1 or 3 piece 24s or 22s with air suspension on this car. This is pretty far from a performance vehicle anyway.
The design is very bisy so I think something simple would work with this car very well. Looks great! |

X-Drive + Active Steering?!
Does this mean that we may see the E90/E92 335xi have Active Steering as an option? Or will this formidable combination be reserved only for those that go with the new X6?
