Anyone have the Renn Tech tune for X5 Diesel?
Just got an X5 diesel and would like to tune it, but I haven't seen anyone give a first person review of the renn tech. I might have to be the guinea pig. The JBD seems nice for how cheap it is, but I'm not sure if I trust it...

I have a 2011 X5D with 20k and have had the JBD installed since 5k. I take it out for service or oil changes and cannot stand driving it without the JBD! Great investment, but do buy the code clearing device as I've used it twice.

I'm thinking about it, I know they're inexpensive and they're actually located pretty not too far from me, but I want to trying something new for the sake of the forum too...
I heard back on the evolve tune and they're claiming they had a 335d do "329whp and 489ft-lbs to the wheels." thats seems pretty impressive to me for at the wheels power |

I've been running JBD in my X5d for about 8 months now, very solid tune. I am planning to give Renntech a try this summer, one thing worries me is when the dealer have to update the software that would be a pain.

What happens to your warranty with the Chip?
I heard that the AC Schnitzer tune keeps your existing BMW warranty?! On the JBD, did you guys ever had the problem that the engine goes in limp mode? I heard that should be common with that tune. |
