Yes, 20mm all around. These aren't that concave in the 20X10 size, not sure about wider wheel sizes. I have to run 20mm adapter spacers on mine since the wheels have a 72mm centerbore. I could have sent them back because they didn't fit on the hub, but EAS said I could either send them back for the correct hub, which is 74mm, or they'd give me the 20mm hub adapters. I was planning on spacers anyway, so I took that deal. Good luck! |

I have 15mm up front if you want to check it out:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/9165028...57612076222787 I could've used 25mm in the rear, but stuck with 20mm.

RH71 - you and I are twins. If the weather were better I would take pics but once I get her washed it rains or is crappy. Out.
Funny how I tried to resist the mods for this SUV it finally got to me. Small minor ones. I lowered it with the 1.2" H&R Springs and H&R Adjustable Links and was thinking of 15mm in the front and 25mm in the rears. Thought about 20mm rears but figured why not move them out a little more The only other mod for the moment would be to paint the roof rails matte silver. I like the black rails enough and white is too much. So silver was a thought. I am waiting for my Caliper Paint to get in to paint them as Rust is not an "in" color Going to paint them silver. |

^ cool can't wait to see pics. Back when the E70 was first released some member from Dubai on another forum did their alpine white with aero kit and saddle brown interior with 214 wheels. Loved it, had to have it. The tinted tails on the white was from another member too though I have it more subtle than he did (pictures make it look darker than it is) - nice change from the bright red. The wide stance with spacers makes it so much more sporty. 5 years now I still turn back and stare at it when I leave it in a parking lot.

You do need a torque wrench to make sure they are up to spec. if you use the 25mm you will need to torque the spacer to the hub and also the wheel to the spacer.

Jamanta - Rent or borrow one from a shop or Pep boys or somewhere and tighten them up correctly. Applying the right torque is the proper way to do it and when it comes to wheels and spacers why risk it?
If you OVER TORQUE your lugs you stand a chance to warp the rotors or damage your aluminum wheels. Remember that you cannot gauge how much TORQUE you applied to one lug let alone 20 of them. If you have an uneven TORQUE range it might no seat evenly on the hub and cause a slight vibration or warping of your rotors during hard braking, etc. |

I have the Tobacco Interior with Alpine White and 214 wheels. I have looked at other wheels and I keep on coming back to the 214's. One of my favorites. Also you know its a classic line SUV when you have owned it for as long as you have and still look at it like it was your first day owning it. That is timeless. |

What Alpine said is true. Even more so if you use 25mm or 30mm b/c those bolt to your hub. I can also suggest that after you torque you can then drive 50 or so miles and check them again. Once you do that you are good to go. IMO it is better to be safe than sorry. Harbor Freight is another possible option for the wrench although I have not bought one from them. |

Jamanta - want to read what a real world experience by over torquing your lugs could result in?

I installed H&R track spec spacers on my X5M last week and they make a huge visual difference. I took lots of measurements before ordering and the actual numbers from the furthest part of the wheel/tire to the outside edge of the fenders were as follows:
Front -------- .715in (18.161mm) Rear ------- .775in (19.685mm) I decided to order 15mm front and 20mm rear. The fronts are pretty extreme considering that theoretically they could have gone out another 3mm. I wouldn't recommend anything more than 15mm up front or it will begin to look silly. Rears "may" have another few mm's available, but I'm perfectly happy with the look of the 20mm. Overall, very pleased with the much more agressive stance. Don't forget to torque lug bolts to 101ft/lbs and then re-torque after 50-100 miles. |

Couple of questions: How much were the H&R's? Why that brand, are there any other or better brands to go with? Please post pics of the front and especially the rears! I was torn between going with 20mm or 25mm on the rears... |

I purchased the spacers from Turner Motorsport: (4075725-14125) H&R 20mm Wheel Spacers with Wheel Bolts - BMW F10 F01 X5M X6 (Pair) $142.45 (3075740-14125) H&R 15mm Wheel Spacers with Wheel Bolts - E70 X5, E71 X6 (Pair) $138.45 I chose the H&R as their products are always top quality and they are a well known company with proven racing experience. I would never go with a small shop with a lathe making these for half price. I would not want to risk the potential for sub-par materials or workmanship which could cause vibrations or worst case catastrophic failure! No thanks... One thing to consider about the 25mm rear spacers is the fact that the spacer is bolted to the hubs and the wheels are bolted to the spacers. In my opinion that is NOT a desireable condition, but others may disagree. On a 200hp car that may be ok, but not on this beast which can snap axles with a hard launch. Just something to think about. I will take some pics later today and post them. Thanks!! (Btw, received the package! Excellent!) Last edited by Maxx2; 02-02-2013 at 09:54 AM.. |
