laser jammers

any of you guys have laser jammers installed on your x5's? if so, what do you recommend and how do you like your setup?

looking to get a system installed, i was quoted 3 grand for a system not sure what the details are since my brother went to the shop and asked he just told me the price. seems like it must be pretty extensive at that price, i had a escort system on my b8 s4 and it worked well (a lot cheaper also)

Don't know what you were looking at, but Laser Interceptor is probably the best out there. Lots of chatter over at radardetector.net if you want to research.

I have the Escort QI45 with Laser Interceptor on my XJ and it has saved me multiple times. Keep in mind you need to use they're button or you will be pulled over and inspected because they were unable to get a reading from you. Total price with install was about $1100. Depending on the set-up you may get interference or false readings when accelerating hard but that can be fixed by your installer. Usually just need to shield the wiring better or move further away from any major electronic components.

I didn't have one installed in my X5M because if I'm speeding in that, it's usually so fast, the cop won't need to tag me!

I would recommend the laser interceptor for your front and rear if possible. The rear install was not possible on my XJ.

cool thanks for the info, yeah my friends all use laser interceptor and have good things to say about it as well. seems like its the way to go. and LOL thats usually the case when i'm speeding in the beast also but I think it'll still come in handy
