Factory heat shields......Removed???
Hi up!!!
I have a little issue to check with you, guys. I'm installing my new SS downpipes and the OEM Heat shields doesn't fit with my new DP's!!!!! Original is thiner than Supersprint and it's impossible to re-install... My mechanic says that when decatting, heat is running down the exhaust line, instead of the own catalyst as before, so heat is not as high on that zone than before, so that protection piece is no needed....... Do you agree??? What is true is that the OEM part it's impossible to fit..... Many thanks in advance. Regards!!! Last edited by NANDOM5; 05-03-2012 at 12:09 PM.. Reason: Wrong phrase |

Hello
This is why is better to buy AR design downpipes with ceramic coating option, then you don't need heat shield, I think I had the same problem with SS this why I ordered AR. Regards |
