Unofficially revealed: BMW X5 LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) for 2010

Due to be revealed very soon, BMW's ultra popular X5 SAV has been caught testing in South Carolina with only but the bare minumum black tape across the bumper. But the complete bumper re-design is completly visible and seems to be nicely washed as well. We love this LCI which maintains the classic good looks of the X5 and ads a little bit of a fresh spin with the new bumper graphics. Well done BMW!

that is rather hideous...

To me the best looking X5 is still the LCI E53. The current generation is just too soft on styling.

I think the foglights recessed into the bumpers is a new permanant design trend for certain BMWs. I can't believe you guys don't like it, to me it looks much more agressive and reminds me of the LeMans X5

Wow, will the fog lights be useful at all being up that high?

Should be down at the corners like the LCI 335is vert, or more recessed like the e53 picture above.

Rear reminds me of the e53, looks fine to me, keep in mind there is a piece of black-tape running across it, just turn it to body-color in your head...

Curious to see whats up with the taillights, I don't think they would have them taped up if they were not changing them.

x5M is the best looking IMO

I am also glad we got a nice 2010 model. Better looking then LCI but 2010 models are the only pre LCI with the new iDrive.

Daddys kids are allowed to drive the LCI X5...

The placing of the fog lights is kinda strange to me... I like the traditional place much better...

Really a disappointment. Only the new engine and gearbox are promising.
Very glad I got a 2010 model.

The plant manager & other high ups at the factory in SC often drive early production models/pre-productions- he is out with his kids!
