Looking for battery recommendations

My battery is over 8 years old and I'm getting a power management, central under voltage message on Carly.

Is there a preference on what to replace the factory battery? I've searched and I believe that Carly can register the battery but would live to hear how others have fared.

Thanks!

I replaced both of my 12v batteries with AGM batteries. Be sure to have them coded/registered to the vehicle. If you don't, you will experience all sorts of issues such as high battery drain error, dimming/flickering lights, non responsive electrical items.

I made the mistake of not registering the first replacement battery and within a year it stopped holding charge. Luckily it was under warranty so I replaced both batteries and had them coded.

I've gone ahead and spent money on a lithium, helps with coding, deep cycling. I'll let you know how it goes in 10 years.

This doesn't look like the right size and it looks like much lower CCA than oem. I think the brand is good but expensive.

Costco under $180 for H8 AGM

Pep boys may have a decent battery sale for black friday. I think they upped the prices just recently in order to pretend their holiday sales are better than they are. I ordered this one for $172 including deposit but before tax a month ago.

Let me get this correct, you bought Lithium battery for your X5 and it's working, how did you register lithium battery?

I got my Bosch AGM battery from PepBoys for under $150 earlier in the year when they always had batteries 25% off when purchased online. But it looks like they don't carry Bosch anymore, only Champion. And a lot more expensive too

The BMW dealerships have dropped the price for their large 105Ah 950cca AGM. I just bought mine in August for $227 (tax included).
I recall reading in some other past forums that they reduced it specifically for this reason, but maybe someone can confirm that.
My issues with my Dynamic Stability Control error code popping up randomly have decreased dramatically after putting this battery in.

This BMW battery is larger than the Costco Interstate so just a heads up that the right side bracket will not fit, but I haven't had any issues so far.

Thanks everyone. I ended up going with a DieHard battery from CarQuest. It wasn't a 105AH battery but a 100AH one. I reset the battery at the next one down in Carly since I didn't want to keep it at the setting that is higher than the actual battery.

Yeah for my 550i I purchased the dealer battery they had a coupon for $189 installed, so I couldn't pass and it was 105ah. For my X5M I purchased a 95 ah battery.

The N63/S63 are known to eat batteries, a weekly regime of running them on a charger will really help extend their lives. I charge mine weekly.
