Sport button on X6 50I

I know I could read the manual and I'm sure a small answer will be provided. I want to hear from my fellow board members what exactly happens when the sport button is pressed. Is the suspension only stiffer, and the shifts are faster, or am I completely wrong...and is there anything else? Thanks everyone.

Sharpie. Here is an old thread regarding the sport button. You'll noticed that I wrote that my sales associate didn't properly explain to me how it was to be used. Hope this helps brother. I'm like you, I hate reading manuals. It's like a size of an encyclopedia.

Jeez, just download the PDF of the manual and you can search for the stuff you need. :P=-)

Page 98 of the manual:

Adaptive Drive* The concept
Adaptive Drive reduces the body roll which occurs when cornering quickly or during fast evasive maneuvers. In addition, Adaptive Drive Technology for comfort, convenience and safety reduces the steering angle requirement, improves the running comfort and increases the dynamic driving characteristics of your BMW.
Chassis and suspension tuning
You can choose between two types of chassis and suspension tuning.
> Normal: The comfortable basic setting offers optimum comfort when traveling.
> Sport: The sporty basic setting offers increased driving agility.
