Thanks for the tip, I think I finally figured it out, I had to go and by few more fuses, just in case but at the end only used one more and it's working fine right now.
Thanks for the effort, can't wait for package E to arrive, to replace the lp lights!

How the hell do you get the bulbs back in in the rear reading lights - the bulbs are too long!

The ECS guide has the wrong bulb layout.

Check out my install tips guide (earlier in this thread) for a better layout on where to put each bulb type.

Damn it! That makes sense. Unfortunately I broke one of the bulb holders in the process. The metal pieces won't stay in place when I try to put the bulb in. Have to see if I can twist them into shape.

Ok. Got them all installed and fixed the bulb holder. Everything is looking great, but I blew the fuse for the glovebox. Anyone decipher the fuse list in the back and determine which fuse it is? Is there a separate list of fuses with the fuse box in the front passenger footwell? I'm without a screwdriver at the moment so can't open it. What is it, 15 amp?

It's a 10A fuse. THIS post includes all the information you need.

Thanks! So what's the best way to install it so you don't blow the fuse? Is there a way to cut power to the bulb while the door is open? Just install the bulb before installing the fuse?

Yep, just pull the fuse, install the bulb, and reinstall the fuse.

that's exactly what i did on my friend's x6m, works like a charm.

btw this LED kit is fully compatible with x6, with 1 extra 5SMD ( E71 rear seats only need 1 dome light and 2 reading light very similar to our E70 front dome/reading assembly, and it was such a pleasure to remove and install comparing with our pain-in-the-ass assembly)

Anybody else have smoke coming out of the light receptacles? I saw it from one of the rear reading lights when I first put it in, and tonight one of the front map lights smoked for half an hour. I seemed to Peter out toward the end. Didn't smell like burning, but definitely smoking.

I noticed if you follow the ECS bulb layout the front dome lights touch the clear plastic cover...which could be the reason.

Which bulbs did you put in the front dome area?

Ok, those are the right ones.

I'm ordering a few spare bulbs with this next round, if you want to PM me with the bulbs you need replaced I'll send them with your other shipment.

Each 20pc set includes
- 2 x 42mm festoon 8SMD 5050 bulbs
- 2 x T10 1SMD 5050 bulbs
- 8 x T10 5SMD 5050 bulbs
- 8 x T10 9SMD 5050 bulbs

All bulbs are CANBUS, meaning they simulate the resistance of the normal incandescent bulbs that are being replaced. This prevents any bulb check errors.

All bulbs emit a bright WHITE colored light.

Price
$45 - includes shipping in the US

Canadian residents add $10 for regular mail, or $20 for priority.

Rest of the world add $15 for regular mail, or $25 for priority.

This type of kit is typically sold for over $100.

If you're interested, just let me know. Payment won't be due until I have the bulbs in hand.

Once all 10 kits are spoken for, I will get them ordered and they should arrive in Denver within a week or so. After that, individual kits will be shipped to each buyer via Priority Mail.

Update: It looks like the 10 sets have all been spoken for. However, I am planning to place the order on Monday 12/16. As long as you tell me you want a set before then, you'll get one.
