spark plug changes for the S63 engine

Not alot of threads i can find on this to talk about intervals let alone DIY and tips. Has anyone done this before and at what intervals? If you have done it DIY, would love to see if you can pls provide some tips on difficulty level, time required and any special tools needed.

Thanks in advance

this would be tough to DIY. I just got mine done and they had to rewrite the DME/ECU of the truck when they were replaced. been having issues ever since though.

I dont think it's always the case, but i guess the ones they put in were upgraded over my prior ones. To do it though, just start tearing stuff done get the heat shields out of the way. They dont seem that hard to get to. If you have done an install like that before you should be fine.

Jimshorts- What plugs did you install? Any reason you went with aftermarket or OEM? I'd like to swap mine out too as part of a general tuneup, would definitely DIY...

Hmm, I would be interested in that. Also, what is the normal recommended service interval on them? How many miles do you have?? I'm at 32k.
