P.S. - most autoparts store readers aren't going to get as detailed as something like the Carista app via an OBDII Bluetooth dongle. I've even used the Torque app (basically on the same level as most autoparts store readers) and got nothing. You need a reader that digs deeper. |
I agree that the Torque App reader is garbage. However, I have an INNOVA handheld and the OBDLink LX Bluetooth dongle and neither have trouble reading my fault codes. Matter of fact, OBDLink LX was used to pinpoint my recent injector #6 failure...but that's just been my experience with these.
Not the ultimate tool, but not a bad place to start.
