I honestly couldnt find OEM black grilles. Maybe there are some but I just ordered mine on ebay. Tons of grilles there. Just make sure theyre the right ones. I bought some at first and they totally didnt fit. LCI vs non LCI same deal.

the e90 lci models have leds more then standard bulbs e.g- tail lights & indicators. The lci models are more like the rectified models of the previous version with lesser problems, i could be wrong..

Brian,
Go to http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do and put in the last 7 of your VIN for the serial # and hit search.

It will either say:
1) 3' E92
2) 3' E92 LCI

1 is non-lci of course.

Just paint the grill with plasti dip. It looks black and you wont be able to see any rubber crap. Takes no more than 10 min. No reason to buy and look for grill, just takes masking tape, a $5 PD can, and 10 or so minutes.

I did a quick google and it looks like you should be able to find some. If not just order it online or something.

It sounds like he said they just masked around it. I wouldn't risk that myself. It's up to you though. Super easy to take them off. 4 x 30 torx screws holding that bumper to the top then just pull and reach behind it and unclip them.

Yup, he didnt have the torx screws and I didnt wanna go to my house get some just for it so I told him we can mask it if he wants, the Mickey Mouse way. It is better if you pop them out. About hitting other parts, the most it got was on the hood which you can peel off VERY EASILY.
