Alarm and sounding questions!

Hi guys! I have a 07 335i e92 and I'm wondering why when I unlock/lock the car I get no beeping sound and when I start the car it doesn't have that jingle sound like other bmws?

Do you even have an alarm installed? If you do, Alarm settings can be accessed via the BC cluster menu.

1st off, most BMW's do NOT have the alarm installed, it was an option by itself not included in any option pkgs - hence no 'beeping' sound

it could be as stated above and you do have the alarm, but someone has turned off the alerts

You need to confirm whether you actually have the alarm before looking at anything else. Easiest way is to look on cowl, underhood, driver side, below microfilter housing for the hood switch:

Disclaimer: this is not pic of my car, I would never let it get dirty like that

If you have this switch, then more than likely, you have the alarm hardware installed

As for the 'jingle' sound, IDK what that is, I get no jingle sound when I start my car
