2012 e93 owner new f30 test drive
Just got back from the Team USA event. Drove a red 335 sedan. I own a 2012 e93 (N55) m sport.
I still cant believe this new sedan feels faster and lighter than my coupe. Im kinda pissed! Same engine, so is the new 8 speed transmission that much of a difference. Im probably really going to buy a tune for my engine now! All the new features are pretty nice. The only thing i didnt like was the skinny steering wheel. |

The E93 335i vert weighs 445 lbs more than than the F30 sedan. That's a pretty big matzo ball to be carrying around.

Joking aside: - you are comparing the extra-weight convertible and a sedan - you are comparing the newly released model to the old one (it is a competitive world, you know) - you are comparing totally different transmissions And then, you mentioned it "FEELS" faster which does not necessarily mean it is (although it should be in this case)... |

When I test drove one, it was smoother with the new transmission.
+1 for the steering wheel. However, there was a difference in steering/handling which may take some time to get used to. Liked the HUD though

This, and the sport package will have a thicker wheel.

I am betting on a better 335/340 engine lineup when the F32 rolls out...

How was that nice lightweight STEEL sub-frame on the F30? That and the electric power steering = seeya! And we got all bent out of shape with plastic sun visors, a missing cigarette lighter, and 3 catalytic converters being decontented!
