Sunroof Problem

Hey guys, something went wrong with my sunroof and I got an indicator, so what the deal is, when I push the button up to make it tilt, nothing happens. When I move it to close it, then it tilts up, but it moves a lil then stops, then i have to press it again, moves a lil and stops again, same thing goes when I want to open it all the way, it moves a lil and stops, but comes to a complete stop halfway and wont open any further...anyone know how to fix this or do I need to take it into the dealer? I do have a warranty, but if I could fix it myself, it would save me a trip.
Thanks

Push and hold the button up for like a minute....it will re-initialize and go through all it's positions so don't touch the button till it's done.

well I just tried it right now and didnt accomplish anything, I kept the button pressed up as in trying to tilt it for a minute with a timer running, and after that i tried moving it around, now it only tilts up and doesnt slide at all lol, should I take it in or try something else?

I've seen this happen to a friends 528. The service advisor just held the button for several minutes and the moon roof cycled and the was fine. I just can't remember if he depressed the button or slid it forward (normally to close position) to rest.

Try again and wait longer.

Maybe it was 90 seconds....I know I can reset the sunroof via my bt tool bit I am 100% positive you can hold down the button for a manual reset.

Maybe they changed this in MY 2008?
