HELP - BMW Audio Cutting Out

Hi Guys,

The audio system on my 325i E90 started to cut out today (I was half way through a 3hr drive)...

Basically all audio (radio, CD, CD stacker, Bluetooth) started to only work intermitently - kind of like a cable was loose...

Another thing is the CD stacker stopped working and allowing me to select a CD or track; and the Bluetooth (phone) stopped allowing me to see my paired phone and make calls! argghhh

I thought it may have been the Amp overheating, although I left the car for a few hours and it is still malfunctioning...

It is the Logic 7 BMW Professional Audio system...

Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thankyou
SLC

Probably not, it is fiber optics. Not saying it is the MOST bus, but it is a common denominator for those three devices.

UPDATE: So for all those playing along at home it has been diagnosed as a faulty bluetooth phone module (the one located in the boot under the floor)...

I thought i'd buy a new module on the net, but I cannot seem to work out the correct part number! Any help would be greatly appreciated, the last 7 digits of the VIN are NB26517 and I have the SA 644 (Prep for mobile phone with bluetooth) in the car...

The part number of the broken module is: 84.21 6-975173-02 - although I cannot seem to find this number anywhere on the NET.... HELP PLEEAAASSSEE

Hello,

Was your dealer able to diagnose it specifically to the bluetooth module? I'm having similar observations too (though I think it's my battery going bad) but my dealer could not diagnose it to any equipment or cable issue.

yeah, he was able to trace it back to the bt module - he mentioned they had the diagnostic equipment to do this... I have just re-ordered a bt module so will let you know if it absolutely fixes the problem! Good luck!

digging this up from the grave as I have a similar problem.

radio, CD, and AUX audio cut in and out. Bluetooth does the same thing, but still pairs and works with my phone. Am I looking at an amp issue or Bluetooth issue??

Similar problem here. Seems like my left channel is cuting out, then if I turn up the volume over ~50% its back. I can then turn back down and it stays on for a while. Seems to be with radio and Aux, same issue. Not sure if thats the amp or radio? I do have the MOST setup.
