Possibility of 3er Sedan getting facelift similiar to coupe

Would we be seeing the 3er sedan getting similiar front and rear lights, bumpers etc in a couple of years? or will they continue to look different?

My bet is that they would continue to look the same as they have. But thats just my assumption, there is a possibility that they could change it, but I just don't see it happening.

I was under assumption that their intention is to keep the coupe different from the sedan but you never really know what they will do. I think they will keep the design as well but we have to see if they will do a facelift for the upcoming M3 Sedan.

e9x M3 will be face lifted similar to e92 coupe. Not sure about the sedan...but won't think so...

That would be the E92 M3.

My best is that they will continue to look different, as when you see the BMW press and Internal training video, one if the first things they do, is highlight the visual differences between the E90 and E92.

For a few years BMW was bugged about the "Same Sausage, three different sizes"; they've taken care of that by making the 3, 5 and 7 look different enough from each other.

They were also criticized for the E46 Coupe being an E46 Sedan with two doors , although I thing they did not share a single body pannel.

I'm also happy that they don't quite look like each other; as I like the coupe very much but I prefer the E90 with the way it looks (front & rear lights + bumpers).

The rear lights would not look great on the E90 (vertical space different from E92).
