Can anyone look up options by VIN number?

Any dealers in the house, etc?

Just want to find out what exact options a private party E90 I'm looking at has.

I just brought in the vin and they typed it in no questions asked. If they need incentive say you are interested in an extended warranty and since they are local when the time comes would purchase it from them.

Could also just say I bought the car already and want to use them for service (which - of course - will be true if I do buy it).

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot. I'm assuming I would have to go through service and not sales?

I think you can also register on BMW Owner's website and enter the VIN. It'll tell you what options came with it.

Just tried that and it looks like the only thing it shows is model and color.

Yea just ask to speak to a service advisor. He might give you some shit about what he's about to show you being confidential but I'm pretty sure they just have to say that since I had 1 dealer show me the screen and let me scroll and everything, and another just print everything out without me even asking.

I think that's just for those who ordered it and tracked through the site. Don't have that option. Bummer, would've saved a trip to the dealer.
