Audio upgrades vs. BMW warranty?
Will installing an amp and subwoofer void the portion of the BMW warranty the deals with the vehicle's electrical system?

It shouldn't. Unless you seriously mess up the wiring in your car, you're fine.

The real answer is, if the dealer doesn't want to perform the work under warranty, any mod can be used as the reason. It's almost 100% of the time at the dealers' discretion (there's no "governing body" of warranty validity, other than a court).
If one dealer doesn't want to perform something under warranty, another probably will. But it doesn't keep BMW from printing scary window stickers. |
