Somebody please....
...talk some sense into me!!!!!!!
As many of you know, I recently (..in August) traded in my '05 M3 for an '06 330i. All was good, and the planets were aligned.......... .......until today! I test drove a stick 335i and fell in love. The car is a blast to drive, and since pricing isn't as high as many of us thought (..base being around 40k), I could've arguably been driving a 335i instead of the 330i had it come out a month & half earlier. If I were to order a 335i, I would get nav, 6-speed and sport package. Sooooooooo, I called up my long time friend at my dealer and told him to help me get out of my 330i by finding somebody to take over my lease payment (..around $600) or by working some insane deal in which my payments remain relatively the same. My question to you guys is............am I crazy? Should I just keep my 330i until the end of my 3 year lease and then upgrade, or should I sell it/trade it for a 335i???? |

Keep the 330i and enjoy it. After 3 years, BMW will have something better and faster than the 335i

DOOOOOO it.
If you can afford to, why not. Now that the 1st model year engine upgrade is out of the way, the most that'll happen is BMW might "tune" the 335 for a modest upgrade in 2yrs. And by then you'll be looking at the new M3. |

Wow! I am having trouble dealing with trading in my 03 330Ci that I drove the hell out of for 4 years. Its not a money thing at all its just hard to justify getting rid of such a nice car. But if you were able to get rid of the M3 and not loose too much sleep you will probably forget about the 330i before the ink dries on the lease agreement so you might as well do it.
I told people in another thread not to drive the 335 unless you planned on buying it. The car is addictive to drive I lasted about 10 days before I ordered one. You are kidding yourself if you think you can make it 3 whole years.

Whatcha smoking guy? Keep the 330i. Let the "gotta have it" folks be the test base for the new engine. Give BMW a year or two to sort out any problems. As for your lease issue...BMWFS will (for a non-refundable fee) allow you to "sell" your lease to someone else. BMWFS will send you paper work, you get it filled out by the prospective buyer (BMWFS qualifies them) and if all is good, BMWFS will send you the final paperwork to get signed and notorized by you and the new owner. The lease is transferred, along with any liability, to the new owner and you're off scot free. |

I would say wait. I've convinced myself to wait, you can do it too. Or else you'll be jumping from the 335 to the M3 in a bit.

Get some discipline in your life. Unless you happen to earn mega bucks (and sometimes even that doesn't help) or have the good fortune to inherit wealth you are going to end up relatively poor later in life if you are so impulsive with respect to terrible investments of your money. Cars are bad enough without financing them as well
Keep the 330

AJ 335TT...I used to live in Seattle and there was a place on the eastside called queen city in Redmond. They deal almost exclusively in high end cars, and im sure they will be able to hook you up. They have a website..http://www.queencityautorebuild.com/.
good luck!

exactly
the OP sounds like the person that has to have the latest/newest car on the market, I say don't talk him down, let him do it. If he had money to burn trading in an 05 M3 for an 06 330i, surely he has more money to burn trading the 06 330i for an 07 335i, and then an 07 335i for an 08 M3 Quote:
