Debating Alpine White or Toronto Red G87
Anyone happen to have side by side photos of a red and white M2? So torn between the two colors and also choice of wheels. Wish they had a stock gunmetal or hyper silver version but I guess those are easy enough to get powdercoated.

Toronto Red is an okay colour.. wish it was a bit more red than orange. When it was time for me to choose the colour for my car it was between black or white.. I choose black. White looks better if you plan to do a lot of exterior carbon.

I changed my build from Red to white about a week before my build was locked in. No regrets. everyone who sees the car is surprised by how good the white looks. I will say, the carbon air intakes in front make it look much better and more aggressive with white!

White all the way. Check out my IG @TheDrivenGarage for a bunch of pics. The white also let's you do more contrast with the carbon parts and stuff. The red is nice too and was my second choice. But the White is amazing.

Here is my problem with the white, blue, and black. they all mute alot of the lines of the body IMO. Toronto Red is nice because its a red yet theres almost an orange tint and you can see the lines.
I went with brooklyn grey because during the day it can look like a completely shades of grey. Light grey with a slight hue of blue to it in the bright sun, dark stormy grey in over casts/dusk hours. You really cant go wrong with Red or white. The white looks clean for longer too i will say that. And white with the black carbon roof.... is a winning combo no matter what |

I wasn't so sure about Toronto Red in pics because I'm not really a red car person. However, in person it's a great color. It does have orange in it, which I'm partial to as I have an Inferno Orange Metallic Z06.

Toronto Red is like Lava Orange in that photos don’t seem to be able to pick out the orange hues so photos make them look more red. Lava Orange is definitely more orangey though.

If only it was available in Imola Red! By far my favorite red, had it on my e46 M3. No individual paint sucks.
Toronto Red has too much orange. Have e92 M3s in Alpine White and Mineral White Metallic. I like both whites on the e92. However, IMO, Mineral White would be a better white on the G87. The Mineral Red Metallic in ‘24 could be a very interesting color. Looking forward to seeing it. Back to TR vs. AW…AW would be my choice. AW is a classic BMW color that looks good on every sedan/coupe model but not all SAVs. |
