G87 - How can I make M-Mode to remember last status?
Hi to all,
I like driving in M-Mode-Sport (instrument cluster view) even in daily use. How can I make M-Mode to remember last status (and not pressing the M Mode button everytime at startup) or if this is not possible to code M-Mode function to eg. Sport at start up? If all above is too difficult, how can I permanently apply, lane warning and speed limit to be off? Thanks Nick Last edited by Nick1150; 11-28-2023 at 12:40 AM.. |

Thank you Baller for the info,
Nevertheless, I saw this thread before posting... I do not want the M-Mode instrument cluster view to be connected with the M1/M2 buttons, I just need the damn thing to give me the option to choose whether the M-Mode instrument cluster will start at ROAD, SPORT or RACE (I do not care about the last one btw) upon entering the vehicle... that's all I want. In fact a "remember the last M-Mode" would be great too, so if you leave the car with M-Mode instrument cluster view at SPORT, the system will remember next time to start at SPORT. BTW I drive daily at COMFORT settings, and my M1 and M2 are used for sport and sport+ so I will not sacrifice these buttons for anything else... ??? |

I'm sorry,
It looks like there's options in BimmerCode to remember the last mode, but I can't get them to code in. I'm still looking for other options. |

Why are you upset? You could bypass my post... Unless you are a BMW developer, your answer is not adding any value to this thread. The question still remains to all other members.... |

Sorry, you’re right. I missed it.
The 2024 update to the question is it’s impossible. But there are workarounds! 1- follow the link Baller shared with the dongle to automate the sport display operation with the M presets and/or 2- stop bitching about it I chose number 2 for now and am considering option 1. Many have chosen both options and it seems like option 1 works well and is now a little less expensive when ordered from Korea. |
