Have the car one day and still in diagnostic mode. One annoyance I have encountered is that iDrive 8 /CarPlay connection will randomly reboot, i.e black screen in Control Display followed by a reboot of the CarPlay connection (iPhone 15 PM does not reboot). Happened already several times with no obvious cause (not heat related).
Anybody experienced similar issues?
It is not unusual to see Wireless CarPlay having connectivity issues especially after a major iOS update but still not great. Will keep monitoring for now.
Other than that - great car!

It’s not a CarPlay issue but a head unit reboot . Happens randomly after around 20-30m every drive so far. Has not reoccurred within the same drive yet. But super annoying.

I realize I am talking to myself on this thread 😂
But just for others in case they have similar issues: I brought the car back to the dealer to check on the iDrive. Turns out since my build date (Aug 14) three (!!!) more incremental software updates (.xx) have been put out. So they upgraded my car to the latest SW version and supposedly that fixed the huck-ups.
We’ll see…
