Which colour for 40k+ miles per year driving
Hi all,
I have to decide really quickly what colour car to have as my next company car. I am torn between the following SG, Titanium, BS, Monaco Blue (love it) and Alpine White(love it even more...i think) I already have an E46 in BS, and looks awesome when clean, but the swirls and scratches in the paint drive me crazy. I will order the 162 wheels, sport suspension and sport steering wheel as accessories, as long as the wife doesnt see the total cost for them! Any experiences on the above colours, particularly if the car does high miles and spends its life in car parks Cheers btw, I live in the UK and havent seen ONE, not ONE alpine white...why? |

Hi, I'd suggest TiAg ... its the most fuss-free color but also the most boring. I thought folks across the pond don't really care much for white as its decidedly cheap and appliance-like. I believe only service vehicles are white?
Sorry, what color is BS?

Titanium is nice, but i've had a few cars in silver and am thinking of a change, unless it does prove to be the best choice?
White cars in the uk are not uncommon, but their usually small little hatchbacks or older vehicles. White is never seen at all on a prestige car though like BMW, MERC AUDI etc. And yes, it is also found on service vehicles. Maybe the british are adverse to being different and wish to blend in more I have seen a good few red e90's though, but not really the colour for me. |

I can only get the ES model, so it'l have to be a cloth interior.
Has to be anthracite black cloth in that instance then. Beige cloth looks too Rover 65 and driving gloves, grey looks cheap. Both these colours look good in leather however! I think i'm gonna break the british norm and get AW. Any other UK AW owners out there. If so what's been the response, head turner or gurner Cheers |

I have a 318d ES (company car), in Sapphire Black, and it looks awesome when clean, but gts dirst so quickly. But I just had to have a black 3 series.
I think Sparkling Graphite may be a good compromise, as it is a dark colour (dark colours suit E90 IMO), but hides the dirt relatively well. What engine are you getting is it the 320d? |

Yes, its the only engine I could get.
I did actually want an E91, as I think they look really nice, but it is not on our list of car choices? The more I think AW, the more I think I want it. Plus i've never seen one on the road! Just hope it looks as good in wet dreary uk as opposed to all the hot sunny places everyone else lives in. |

I wanted the 320d but had to settle for the 318d, but it is more then fast enough for me. I think the fact that you don't see many white E90's in the UK speaks for itself...why buy an expensive car and make it look cheap by getting it in white (thats just my opinion btw).
It is just a shame the ES doesn't have climate cotrol. I'm loving mine though. |

Hard to wrong here. MB and SG are classy and interesting. TS and AW are practical and sporty. I like AW because it is unpretentious and the whirling prop colors go perfectly. If you are a med supplies/equip/pharmaceuticals rep I would probably go with MB & anthracite if you drive clients around.

Alpine White for my vote. It is not as difficult to keep clean. It does not show dust, but does show obvious dirt.
