Unfortunately I haven't driven it yet, 63 miles from the dealer back to the shop would have guaranteed me some rock chips on the underside. I had KBJ Transport pick up the car for me.

@Detailers Domain - The only way to have a completely flawless car is to have it paint corrected (to the extent needed) & then completely wrapped in PPF [from head to toe]. Wish that some of us could get a brand new factory fresh M machine straight from the factory with 0 miles on it. But as you already know, some post-delivery miles must be logged on each car to get it our of "transport" mode. Glad you didn't risk 63 additional miles & had it properly toed to the detail shop.

Probably an unpopular opinion. Now that some time has passed, I think it's crazy that this design has been approved like this. I understand the intention behind it, but the idea did not translate well at all into the production vehicle. The transition from the hood to the front bumper alone is solved extremely poorly. I do not even want to start with the rear.

I’m in a F87 N55 myself making 425whp & 435wtq. It’s a blast to drive & yet I couldn’t imagine how fun this would be to drive. It’s only one generation above but it seems like BMW has fixed all of the imperfections I’ve found with my car based on the interior updates, the S58’s potential and added comfort while still maintaining the punchy size of the coupe without getting into the gran coupe category (I’d put the M4 in there).

Long term goals for me would be a G80 xDrive for a daily and the very long distant M2 CS in a manual for the extra spirited drives.

CS will most likely be auto, which is why I'm all in on the "base" manual m2. On the list for an m3cx for "daily" driving too.

How close is BG to Hockenheim Silver? Hard to tell from pics.

Edit - saw my dealer’s BG M2 this evening. Not as bright as HS - deeper and definitely more gray. The flake is hard to see unless you’re in the right light.
