Considering ceramic coating
I want to get ceramic coating on my 2 week old 2023 M340. the guy i am in talks with does it out of his garage. for $1000 will coat the windows, wheels and paint, with 5 year warranty (once a year will take back to him for touchup and checkup).
The brands he mentioned are pro grade. One brand he speaks highly of is IGL. any thoughts on the price and any recommendation on pro grade ceramic brand? thanks |

The price seems okay for the product he is using and maybe on the low side. I would ask if the price includes any paint correction. Even though your vehicle is only 2 weeks old, I will guarantee there are some imperfections in the paint from either the factory or the dealer prep. A ceramic coating without paint correction will lock in any imperfections. I had my 2023 m340i ceramic coated with Modesta and the price was about $2K out the door. Modesta is also a pro grade coating but you have to go to a certified installer to get it and it's considered one of the premier coatings.

I had IGL on a previous car and absolutely loved it, paid around $900 here in FL but that was a couple years ago. Included full paint correction and prep. I plan on going with IGL again as soon as I get back from the performance center.
