N51 rough start

Hello everyone, my 2008 328xi sulev with n51 issues has been a pain in my you know what recently. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but this issue has stumped me. I'm not normally one to fire the parts cannon but on this car I've been doing it since the issue is so intermittent. The car will sometimes just stutter to start. I've replaced disa valves, vanos solenoids, pcv, checked for vaccum leaks but nothing. I even scanned car with ista but 0 codes. At this point I'm completely stumped. I'm thinking in my head camshaft bearing ledge seals? But I have no idea as nothing I've done has fixed this car. Does anyone got any ideas on what could fix this because I am starting to get sick of this thing 😆 🤣.

Not a whole lot of info to go on here..mileage?...Stutter? Slow crank? or almost like a misfire? The ground strap from the drivers side engine mount to frame corrodes and causes a litany of issues. Also if you have unknown amount of time and miles on plugs and coils it is best to change them. Could be a bad fuel pump or bad injectors, injector seals.

Worn bearing seals would generate an eccentric shaft intake or exhaust advancement/retardation code. Start with the above. Coils/spark plugs, check ground strap, send your injectors out for cleaning and replace as needed, fuel pump. I remember the SULEV fuel system is incredibly expensive. $500 fuel pump or something. Maybe the 15yr warranty will cover SULEV stuff, time's running out on it.

No reason to spend $900 on a new set of injectors. They don't normally fail on these engines.

Check with what's covered under SULEV warranty.
