How to remove passenger side (front) seat belt
Hi all,
I have a nasty cut on the passenger side (front seat) B-Pillar cover (pics attached). Although the part is only ~$90CAN it requires me to remove the passenger side seat belt. This kinda scares me be honest. Has anyone done this? Do I require special tools? Also, does anyone know of a place that might be able to fix the cover (so I DON"T have to remove it?). I heard of C.R. Techniques here in Calgary. BMW Gallery recommended them as well. Has anyone used them? Last edited by derek.megyesi; 04-25-2022 at 10:38 AM.. Reason: Added images |

Oh, mine is also damaged too. Thought it would be more expensive than 90 bucks.
Looking at the service manuals... it looks like all you need to do is pull of a lot of trim panels lol. Pull off the lower rear seats, the rear C pillar cover, rear seat side cushions (on both sides of the fold down seats), rear "door" car card, then the panel in question. You would have to unfasten the bolt that secures the belt to the floor. There is a just 1 bolt that's covered by a plastic cover. |
