Today I had a BMW "genius" check to see why I'm not getting any alerts, etc. for traffic cams or uneven road surface. I was told that "for various reasons", these don't always work. For over 2 months, neither of these apps has ever shown ANYTHING on my car.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, were you able to get them working? I'm at a loss as to what to do next!

What vehicle do you have? On my m240i connected drive apps came with the car (although the traffic cam and uneven surfaces might be a trial?). I'm sure the genius has already checked, but probably good to check again. Go to apps and select traffic csm and uneven surfaces and see if they are subscribed.

I have them both and they both work perfectly on mine. The problem with the traffic lights is that sometimes the car won't pick up certain intersections that have stoplights.
The bumpy road thing is part of the sensors. If the bumpy road feature is not working, it is either the app or your sensors.

Make sure the traffic notification app is in your list of apps. I had a similar issue.

so my M240i does not have the traffic notification app even tho the trial subscription is under my account. How did you guys get the app?

My traffic camera app is not on the installed apps. It’s annoying as hell. I have to put in a ticket to see if they can fix it. I have the uneven surfaced installed

Same with me - those and news and weather just stopped working about a month ago

I had the same issue, went into installed services, found traffic cam hit options, selected reload. Highlight apps in main menu, options, update. Hold down vol button for atleast 30 seconds, the screen going off isn't the reboot, wait until you start hearing relays and other electric stuff make some noise, then you can stop holding. After that it was there

My traffic cam and uneven roads have been having issues lately. Icons show in apps but can't click on them. Rebooting Idrive fixes but it keeps happening. No issues for 6 months until this week.

I followed this and the traffic camera icon now appears in installed apps!! I appreciate it brother. When I first reboot,it shows it as active with a checkmark. Once I drive off it becomes un checked and I’m unable to re activate it. Super annoying lol - At this point,I give up 🤣

Get software update - I got it today for this issue as well as some connect drive update

There was a backend issue with the trial traffic cams. It should be fixed now. Try again
