need help: Compass?
Only thing i can find is the little arrow used for navigation. But doesn't tell you which direction you are driving. Is there a way to activate a real compass?? my 2018 230i had Compass in Rear view mirror I think
I am perplexed.. thanks

Yeah it seems like they took it out of the mirror. Bit of a bummer. You can add a compass to the iDrive home screen though I think. As one of the tiles.

Note: the Navigation screen does have a compass orientation, I have mine set so North is always up....therefore any glance at the progress arrow tells me what direction i am going. In addition i have 2 other compasses in my 2022 240x, one i activate thu the turn signal stalk buttons, the other is on the split screen as has been mentioned, so in effect i have access to 3 different means to check my direction of travel. Seems like plenty?

When you have the map open in the infotainment screen, push the controller to the right to access the menu on the right. At the bottom of the menu is a function labeled Split-Screen that allows you to display a widget side-by-side with the map. There's also a settings option that you can use to configure what goes in the split-screen, such as compass, trip overview, traffic alerts, etc.

On the Home Screen, swipe left on the touchscreen, a compass is hiding 2 or three tiles over.
