In addition to NO Satellite Radio and NO HD Radio, there is also NO WIRELESS CHARGING. Even though in front of the cup holders it appears that there is wireless charge (wireless charging icon on phone pad, see pic), there is actually NONE due to chip shortage supposedly. THERE IS NO NOTIFICATION AHEAD OF TIME REGARDING THIS DELETION!!!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING. Even my 4 year old 2018 M240i had wireless phone charging!!! Just picked up my new 2022 M240xi today and it was bitter sweet when I made this extremely disappointing discovery myself.

FYI... wireless charging is NOT standard, its a separate option

that said, your car looks awesome & sleek along with the shadowline pkg and black wheels... love it!!!!

I ordered every available option. No separate option for wireless charging... I'm fairly certain the car was initially advertised as having wireless charging in addition to wireless Apple Car Play and Android Auto... also many BMW's since 2018 have had wireless charging as either an option or was standard.

Hey great pics!! Car looks gorgeous! I added the M illuminated logo on the sides as well and was initially regretting it but they look great in this pic. In other pics, they didn't look illuminated. When you get a chance can you send a pic closer up when it's dark? Thanks in advance!

It was not - it was never advertised as having wireless charging, and none of the packages ever included it (in the US at least). I ordered my car on 9/1 and wireless charging was not offered.

In fact I think they scratched wireless charging from almost every model for 2022, probably due to parts shortages.

That is an NFC icon, not a wireless charging icon.

Really Gorgeous Car.
Wireless charging is nice, but I think the driving experience will far outweigh the relative inconvenience of it's absence.

And there it is, the first picture of BSM with shadowline as in my order. It does not disappoint, looks awesome!! I also have black leather as you but I’m not an all black wheel fan myself so mine has the bicolor wheels but even all black looks good here!

No wireless charging…whatever.

Keep the phone charged up at other times or simply plug it in in the car. NBD. The pad charger barely works anyway.

Car looks great BTW. The BSM + black extras may be the best choice for this car.

Yeah the wireless charger in both my other cars never really did much to charge my phone. I could care less if that option was removed due to the shortage

That is an NFC icon, not a wireless charging icon.

You are correct. That is for the BMW key card and also for when you give a guest pass to a friend or family to use your car, they have to put their phone on that NFC pad for it to work.

Car looks fantastic and the M logo looks really good lit up in the pic you posted.

A friend of mine is picking up an M240i in Brooklyn Grey tomorrow and it has satellite radio and the wireless charger.His car is a HEA spec that the dealer got from BMW Canada last week.It looks like some of the HEA cars are coming with all of the options.

now that I think about it.. For US vehicles I never remember reading about Wireless charging pad. We have one in my wife's Kia Sportage, and we never use it.. ha-ha

US 100% has wireless charging as a standard feature. Here's my build. At one point it was an item that could be pulled like the Sirius radio.

I'm not sure if something was up with mine, but I tried wireless charging at the dealership and it didn't work.

I'll try again tomorrow when I actually drive it.

I really hope I didn't loose wireless charging, it shows on my build online.

I would check your build on the BMW website if you have the vin

I feel like in the check your build threads it was one of the items along with the Sirius that people lost at random
