Best Cat-back exhaust w/o Sensor/CEL
Recently bought my new M2C and finally hit 1200 miles. Since receiving my break-in service I am in the market for a new exhaust system since the current setup is not loud enough. I am looking for a Cat-back exhaust which will not show any CEL or OPF(?) Sensor issues WITHOUT a tune. Ideally the exhaust will be valved since I don't want to disturb my neighbors when I leave for work around 6am.
The systems I have considered thus far: - Eisenmann Competition Valved System (not sure if center pipe throws any issues) - Active Autoworke (my favorite sounding from the few clips all these exhaust have) - Remus - Milltek Can anyone offer opinions or insight from their own exhaust systems. Thanks! |

US spec cars don't have OPF or OPF sensor so none of the catback exhausts will throw a CEL. As long as you don't touch the primary cats, you should be fine. If yours is EU spec car with OPF then it's a different story. I'll let other members with OPF equipped M2Cs chime in regarding which options are CEL-friendly. However, I remember reading even Remus Race axle back threw a CEL on some M2Cs with OPF.

None of the catback will cause you any issues or limps because you have not OPFs, so you are spoiled for choice.
I think all those exhausts sound nice, my preference goes to Milltek but it is subjective. |

REMUS exhaust + Active Autowerke midpipe sounds the best in my opinion , full Active Autowerke is a close second

I'll post videos of the setup once I get the exhaust and install it. It will be installed on a stock 2020 M2C. |

AA mid and remus race rear won't throw any CELs. It's pretty good at being dr jekyll and mr hyde. Efficient mode is only ever so slightly louder than stock. Sport + is an animal.

Best is subjective, but AA midpipe + Remus or full AA is the "Best" in my opinion. The Remus setup pairs surprisingly well with the midpipe.
I have full AA exhaust, but the fitment is pretty bad. I've had multiple shops look as well.. all agreed with my installation.

Iv got the Remus race + opf back pipes and tbh, i'm still not happy with the sound. Few more weeks and il probably be ordering the AA mid from the US and getting the sensors disabled...should have done this from the start.

I'd like to elaborate on this a bit more I think. For a sporty setup that is just a bit louder than stock, catted: AA Mid, Remus Sport Rear (This keeps the wife happy no matter what mode you are in) And... Because Racecar - and still my overall favorite setup catless: AA Mid, Remus Race Rear This setup is great for non daily or, most likely DCT. The M6 RPM sits right at 3000 RPM @ 80MPH. So, on the freeway, the "Racecar" setup has a slight buzz at that RPM which disappears either side. |

AA midpipe by design removes the OPF filters on European cars, so CEL is 100% guaranteed
