S8+ bluetooth issues
So I went ahead an pre-ordered my S8+ in Midnight Black and I absolustely love this thing battery life is AMAZING.
1 major problem for me though is that i cannot for the life of me get it to pair with my 06 330i with CCC iDrive. I have tried everything I could think of even tried my GF's new S8+ too but same problem. I was able to successfully pair the phone with my gf's CX-5 without a problem and a few other Bluetooth system I have but the car simply will not pair. I run thru the standard setup procedure and type in the pin on the phone and the car. The idrive screen then says something to the effect of "pairing succesful please wait while your phone connects" except it never actually connects. Anyone had success paring this phone with their CCC iDrive? |

There is a thread on this on the Audio board its seems
to be popping up a lot and is a problem with Android 7. There are some threads that tell you to clear the cache before pairing and to boot into safe mode and do some stuff but its unclear this produces a lasting fix. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1373397 One guy in the above thread reports no problem with his s8 on idrive. I have the Pixel XL and have issues with it disconnecting or hanging up my calls. I thought it was a Pixel issue (known bluetooth problems) but starting to wonder if it's Android itself, rather than hardware.

Yea so strange... never had issues with my or my girlfriend's S6. Now with the S8+ I can't even use bluetooth at all. Disappointing to say the least.

the phone very well might have a newer version of Bluetooth than the car has. my pixel connects to my car and I'm on 7.1.2 so it's not the OS.

Well the S8+ is the first phone that uses Bluetooth 5.0 but other people have reported that their pre lci e90/92 connect without an issue.
Maybe this issue is isolated to the Verizon version somehow? |

A poll of the phone companys that the problem occurs on might
be informative. Phone company's are always adding extra crap that interferes or redirects you . On the last update to android 6 I got a program that added a splash screen i didn't want . |
